On stage!

Pécs Cantat will be a great opportunity to indtroduce your choir to the other participants and to Pécs! All participant choirs have the possibility to give individual concert during the festival in Pécs or in its vicinity. Please mention during your application where you would like to perform ( in church or in secular venue) and if you would like to give a full concert  or share with another choir.

Lot of participating choirs have signaled, that they would like to give an individual concert during the festival. According to our plans, these individual concerts will take place in outdoor venues in the afternoons and at indoor venues in the evenings.

Individual concert possibilities in special venues

Our aim is that the festival and choir music reach as much people in Pécs as possible, therefore besides the outdoor and indoor concert venues we created the following special individual concert possibilities:

Concert in the city of Pécs on the „Dottó" Sightseeing train

The little „Dottó" sightseeing train is a famous element in the life of Pécs. It brings the tourists around the city centre day by day, since years. In Pécs everyone knows Dottó and its driver! Following our previous events, we would rent out the Dottó for the participating choirs, who could give a moving concert from the train!
Dottó would bring the singers around the city center, but also to the famous park of Tettye on the Mecsek hill and to the railway station. The train would stop on some spots, where the choir could sing a few songs! This way music would reach people on the street, in the parks, etc.
The rental fee of "Dottó" is assured by the Organizers!

Concert in the city centre of Pécs on rented bicycles

A new bicycle rental has just opened in the promenade street of Pécs, which shows that biking is more and more popular in the city!
Pécs is quite hilly, but the city centre is rather flat and an easy area. Sporty and adventurous choirs would bike around the streets of the city centre, stop on the famous spots and sing a few songs. This way choir music would definitely gain new fans among bicycle riders!
The bicycle-rental fee is assured by the Organizers!

The two alternative individual concert possibilities are open to ALL (part)choirs!
There is possibility to give another concert in one of the outdoor- indoor venues next to a concert on „Dottó" or bicycle!
