As most of the music teachers and conductors in Pécs, Mr Nagy had been the student of the  Pécs choral doyen: Prof. Tillai Aurél. He has been conducting several local choirs through the years – under his baton, an immense number of adolescents got acquainted with choral art in the mixed youth and male youth choirs of Széchenyi Secondary School. He had been conducted the Mecsek adult mixed choir, too. At present, he teaches and conducts in the “Nagy Lajos” Secondary Grammar School of the Cistercian Order in Pécs, and is the leader of the “Szeráfi” Church choir. Mr Nagy is co-founder of the Pécs Quartet of Spirituals. Several audio-cassettes and CD-s witness his vocal and conducting talents, either behind or in front of the microphones while recording with his choirs. Though the years, Mr Nagy and his choirs further enriched Pécs’ good international reputation, through the several prizes and diplomas from all over Europe.
